Boutique
Small design-led hotels with a clear point of view. Twenty rooms is a crowd at this scale.

About the boutique list
Boutique in Venice means fewer than thirty rooms, a single designer’s hand, and a front desk that remembers your name by the second morning. It is not a size category the city regulates. We use it when the hotel’s design brief is the reason you would book it.
Twelve we rate. Start with Dorsoduro and San Marco for design, and Cannaregio for the best mix of aesthetic and quiet.
