A canal view and a Grand Canal view are not the same thing. The Grand Canal is the wide S through the heart of Venice, with vaporetti, water taxis, and barge traffic. Most Venice hotels sit on a smaller rio. A Grand Canal hotel is a smaller list, and worth naming carefully.
